About Us
Founded by Tony Wessley, Fortress Security & Alarms began with strong roots in Kansas City and has since grown into a trusted security and technology provider at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Our Story
Tony Wessley began his career at the age of 18 in Kansas City, MO, working for Southwestern Bell (at the time) under the ATT / Rite Communications umbrella. He led the building of phone systems across multiple complexes in Missouri and Kansas, specializing in custom installations, copper and fiber splicing, and managing several job sites.
In 2004, Tony relocated to the Lake of the Ozarks yet continued commuting to Kansas City to maintain contracting work through ATT. Over the years, as the economy shifted (around 2009), he expanded into electrical work throughout the Lake area — including projects at Fort Leonard Wood Military Base — while honing his specialties in low voltage, communications, alarms, cameras, home audio, networking, TV installation, WiFi services, lift-fail sensors, and more.
Expanding Skills & Services
Around 2009, as the economy shifted, Tony expanded his expertise into electrical work throughout the Lake area, including projects at Fort Leonard Wood Military Base.
This transition opened the door to a wider range of services, allowing him to grow Fortress Security & Alarms into a trusted provider of both residential and commercial solutions.
Over the years, Tony developed specialized skills in low voltage and communications, as well as alarms, cameras, home audio, networking, TV installation, WiFi setup, lift-fail sensors, and more. This broad foundation continues to shape the high-quality, customized services offered to every Fortress client today.
